Seattle University (SU), a leading Jesuit Catholic institution, seeks a dedicated and strategic professional to serve as Associate Provost and Chief of Staff (COS) to the Provost. The COS will join a dynamic institution committed to ensuring a transformative education at both the undergraduate and graduate level in an urban setting and will serve as an integral member of the Office of the Provost to advance the university’s ambitious goals across academic and student affairs. The COS will be a strategic partner and advisor to the Provost and provide strategic connectivity, oversight, and support between the portfolios and projects of the Provost’s Office at SU.

The Associate Provost and Chief of Staff will be joining Seattle University at an exciting moment. With the recent acquisition of Cornish College of the Arts and a new President joining the university later this year, the campus is poised for innovation and change. The COS will serve a long-standing Provost and act as a pivotal liaison between the Provost’s and President’s offices and will work collaboratively across Academic and Student Affairs to ensure strategy and cohesion across the Provost’s office and its collaborating faculty and staff. The COS will bring an understanding of and appreciation for higher education, a drive to foster strategic discussions and forward institutional planning, excellent project management skills, and an ability to diplomatically operate and build relationships with a broad range of individuals internal and external to the university.

The anticipated hiring range for this role is $170,000-$200,000.
