The School of Theology and Seminary (SOT/Sem) Admissions and Recruitment Manager serves as member of the SOT/Sem Admissions team and participates in implementing the overall strategic direction for annual and long-term enrollment through recruiting new students to the SOT/Sem. The Admissions and Recruitment Manager is primarily responsible for recruiting students for graduate theological study, building and sustaining a recruitment network, and contributing toward strong levels of application inquiries. The Manager reports to the Director of Admission and collaborates with Admission team to increase the school’s visibility on college campuses, in volunteer programs, and throughout the United States, particularly in Catholic parishes and dioceses.

The posted wage represents CSB and SJU's good faith estimate of likely compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will be dependent upon several factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and skills, and may fall outside of the range indicated.
In collaboration with the Director of Admission, implement and assess the effectiveness of the SOT/Sem’s recruitment plan, including strategies and tactics to generate prospective student inquiries and move candidates through to application.
Promote SOT/Sem degree programs to potential students, including undergraduate college students, post-year of service/volunteer participants, and young adult groups.
Maintain and expand upon a strong and consistent recruitment network and represent the SOT/Sem at appropriate venues such as conferences, college campuses, volunteer network gatherings, ministry conventions, and other settings that build the school’s network and offer opportunities to generate inquiries.
Generate inquiries and maintain personal contact with potential students. Follow-up with students using current contact management methods.
Collaborate with the Admissions team and Dean to meet established goals for inquiries and applications.
Support the Admissions team in the development and implementation of marketing outreach efforts, including digital and print materials, social media strategy, and targeted communications.
Advise and support the admission director on recruitment investments for travel to college and conferences
Plan and execute recruitment events, including visit days and a webinar series focused on student discernment and online program engagement.
Problem-solve complex questions to support admission director and associate dean in advance standing & transfer requests, especially for Certificate students, to matriculate a diverse student body who are familiar themselves with advanced theological education
Support and help execute mailings through CRM and contribute toward data integrity for internal tracking and submission to external parties for accreditation
Advise and collaborate with director on scholarship allocation for accepted students to help reach net-tuition goals
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admission and/or Dean of SOT/Sem.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; graduate degree in Theology preferred
Demonstrated understanding of and genuine commitment to graduate theological education.
Experience in recruitment, admissions, or related student engagement work preferred.
Demonstrated organizational skills
Strong communication, interpersonal relations and presentation skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
Demonstrated creativity, goal orientation and self-motivation to promote SOT/Sem brand and degree programs
Strong understanding of recruitment and admission procedures
Commitment to the mission and vision of the SOT/Sem
Willingness and ability to work evenings, weekends and fulfill travel requirements as needed
Physical requirements:
Requires working at a computer for extended periods, including sitting, typing, reading from a screen, and using various software programs essential for the role.
Travel requirements:
Frequent regional and national travel required, generally 3–5 trips per month, with most trips lasting approximately 2–3 days.
