The Life Safety Services at Saint John's University (SJU) and Campus Security Department at the College of Saint Benedict (CSB) invite applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), benefit-eligible position of Dispatch Officer.
$1,000 sign-on bonus valid through August 31, 2025. Terms applied to sign-on bonus can be provided by hiring manager.The Dispatch Officer is responsible for receiving and coordinating responses to both emergency and non-emergency calls from students, employees, and visitors. These calls may include medical emergencies, fire alarms, reports of suspicious activity, and a wide range of campus-related concerns. The dispatcher evaluates incoming information and communicates with the appropriate departments or personnel to ensure timely and effective response. In some cases, the dispatcher may also coordinate with local emergency services to facilitate emergency or non-emergency support.
In addition to dispatch duties, this position includes administrative responsibilities such as managing building key card access, assisting with campus identification services for students and employees, and monitoring the campus-wide surveillance system.
