Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Presidential Affairs and the Executive Vice President, Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Officer, this position performs complex administrative duties. The principal emphasis is on handling and preparing sensitive information, files, and policy-related matters of a highly confidential nature requiring the utmost discretion and tact in guarding confidentiality. This individual acts as an active and self-sufficient member of the President's Office staff. A high level of independent judgement, initiative and problem-solving skills are required as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the Executive Vice President, Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Officer. Coordinates schedule for appointments, meetings, conferences and confirms arrangements and reservations. Makes travel arrangements. Receives and screens calls, mail and visitors. Responds to inquiries and initiates fact-finding to resolve issues as appropriate.
Manages and completes all monthly accounting necessary for the office including credit card statements and reimbursements.
Serves as a member of the President's office team. Supports the Executive Director of Presidential Affairs and manages first-floor customer service. Assists with event coordination as needed.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent. At least six years of administrative support experience in higher education. Experience with suite of Microsoft programs. Proven experience exercising good judgment in a variety of situations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working in a confidential environment and using discretion.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience analyzing data for independent decision-making. Ability to handle time-sensitive, confidential and detailed work for a variety of constituents.

Salary Grade:

AD170 - Administrative

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt
