The Nursing Department of Saint Joseph's College of Maine is seeking a full time Assistant Professor of Nursing!The successful candidate will teach courses in the pre-licensure program BSN program. This position is for the Standish, Maine campus. This is not a remote position. Successful candidates will have experience teaching evidence based practice/ nursing research concepts. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Course development and revisions
  • Teaching didactic courses for on campus students
  • Academic advisement
  • Clinical coordination of the assigned course (if clinical component present)
  • Working with the simulation technologist on simulation and lab activities as needed
  • Scholarship
  • Schedule office hours for student meetings
  • Assisting with recruitment efforts for the nursing program

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing 
  • DNP/ PhD preferred
  • Five years of nursing experience
  • Active unencumbered Maine RN license
  • One to two years experience in nursing education programs 
  • Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in a traditional undergraduate BSN program
